Henry King,
​Founder & Company Director

Henry is interested in a majority of sports, history and reading. He loves spending most of his spare time with his son, Hugo. You might catch him at the local parkrun or walking his dog, Bennington, on North Road. His favourite holiday destination is Kefalonia in Greece. Kefalonia was actually where he proposed to his partner Isabella in 2023 after 7 years together.

Isabella Roozbehan, Company Director

Isabella is Henry's partner and has been involved in the business since its opening in 2017. Isabella is a qualified accountant, who until recently, worked full-time for a practice in Lewes. In December 2024, Isabella left her career to be more of a presence with H G King Funeral Services as well as looking after her and Henry's son, Hugo. Isabella also hopes to continue her accountancy career and is working on getting her license to work on a self-employed basis part time. Outside of work, Isabella enjoys fashion, running and has recently got back on-board horses after over 5 years out the saddle.

Bennington

Bennie is a Labrador and joined the team in August 2022. He sleeps majority of the day in Henry’s office but is very friendly and gentle – unless you’ve got food then he goes crazy! If you’d rather not see him, that’s absolutely fine as he has a separate office to himself. However, we’ve found he puts a smile on our client’s faces when they’re going through a difficult time, so do not hesitate to say hello.

David King,
​Funeral Operative

2nd November 1956 – 20th January 2021.
David, Henry's father and was involved in the company from its opening in 2017. He was originally from Hangleton but moved to Lancing in 1979, where he remained, raising 7 children in the process. David owned a car electrician business, King's Auto Electrics (KAELEC), professionalising mainly in alternators and starter motors. David started in the funeral industry for a Funeral Director in Worthing in 1999. He then worked free-lance and supplied coffin bearers for numerous Funeral Directors across Sussex, stretching from Eastbourne all the way to Portsmouth and mid-Sussex. Outside of work, David enjoyed eating, drinking, spending time with his children and grand-children and the occasional snorkel off the Sussex coast.

Unfortunately in January 2021 David sadly passed away unexpectedly at his home in Lancing. His influence and presence is felt throughout H G King Funeral Services everyday and is seen in his son Henry.
